Biotechnology students swab areas with bacteria such as under shoes, on bathroom doors, on classroom desks, and in phone pockets to observe bacterial growth on agar plates. They place antibiotic discs in 4 quadrants on the plates to analyze how resistant the bacteria are to each antibiotic type.
